In the Garden: a very fine amber brooch in a flowing, floral shape. A cross between a natural butterfly with two pearled antennae & a gorgeous amber flower with pearly anthers. Three sensual petals, drizzled with dots of sterling plus a unique focal point, two tiny freshwater pearls poised at the ends of two sterling silver stems.
Perfect rich color, a light cognac lit with some lemon from below, encouraged to glow even more as light reflects off the shiny sterling silver internal backing. Some amber skin (also known as amber bark, the amber cortex) left intact along the bottom, creating a webby, cinnamon colored sparkle magnified by the amber.
This amber seems barely touched by the artist's hand... as nature intended. Simply shaped, polished & set into a beautiful frame.
Also very flexible in terms of "which way is righ to wear it" as it is compelling from so many angles. A handmade, unique design from Anna Pelczynska of Gdansk, Poland. |
