Black Oak & Amber Cylinders No. 1 are on sturdy almost utilitarian sterling silver wires. The cylinder style earrings literally glow in a muted almost peachy color. Extremely light and intensely beautiful---fashioned by the artist Dorota Kos of Gdansk, Poland. Perfect from top to bottom.
On using amber as a medium. Kos says:"....I started using amber just by chance. My workshop was near the ambercutter's workshop. I really liked the smell of polished and cut amber. I was also allowed to use the remnants from the amber workshop, so I started using the amber in my work."
