Cancer Zodiac Amber Cameo Locket depicts a wonderfully detailed crustacean complete with antennae & segmented shell against a star studded heavenly backdrop. The original "crab" was actually a crayfish, though we are most accustomed to seeing a softshell crab portray the sign Cancer. A
thin, hinged sterling silver square with gently rounded corners. A rich
mahogany shade of amber with glowing cherry undertones & gleaming
ivory colored figure. The face is carved in relief "backwards," from
the inside out using a traditional cameo technique called intaglio. Handmade, not laser etched, as is sadly becoming more common.
