We are absolutely delighted to present the latest work from Dorota Kos-- The newest DK Amber Mosaic Collection. Kos says "....the idea is to combine the materials so that they form a unity. Wood and amber is the combination of the present and past, the combination of two materials representing warmth, light and life.
.. For this collection, I used many really different kinds of wood-- black oak, ebony, plum, cherry, apple tree, birch, walnut & padouk (red). Woods that I found, woods that I kept, woods that were given to me. So the wood is a mosaic in the same way the amber is a mosaic. It is fair to say that I am fascinated by the micro world. I hope you will enjoy that every small piece is unique & that, through my work as an artist, I respect every small piece of the amber & the wood."
