Kos says, "the mosaic I use in the jewelry is hand made, nothing pressed. Maybe it is crazy, but I really put together every small piece-- using glue, polishing again, cutting, assembling, measuring, polishing again... For this collection, I used many really different kinds of wood-- black oak, ebony, plum, cherry, apple tree, birch, walnut & padouk (red). Woods that I found, woods that I kept, woods that were given to me. So the wood is a mosaic in the same way the amber is a mosaic. It is fair to say that I am fascinated by the micro world. I hope you will enjoy that every small piece is unique & that, through my work as an artist, I respect every small piece of the amber & the wood."
